Work Well and Feel Good!

I offer Mentoring and Coaching services to business leaders, to organisations and companies seeking creative ways of developing their key staff, and to individuals wanting to discover a new way of living and working.

Over the last five years or so mentoring or coaching relationships have become recognised as making significant contributions to the personal and professional development of many people. Work demands on individuals have increased as performance benchmarks have been raised. Success demands creative leadership too - from the boardroom down to the shop floor.

Mentoring and Coaching are specifically aimed at developing creative leaders, and more generally at enhanced motivation and productivity - yet mentoring and coaching each have a different focus.

Coaching is specifically geared towards the learning needs of the individual and the focus is placed on the acquisition of new ways of operating, together with the development of specific skills, such as team-leading skills, communication skills, etc. A Coaching relationship is therefore task-focused, where the specific need for development in one or more areas of leadership are central to the work. Coaching relationships can be time-specific and solution-focused.

Mentoring focuses on the overall development of the individual. At the heart of this work is the ability to enter into a deeply reflective process wherein the customer/client opens to a more personal enquiry into all factors that impact on their life and work. Mentoring can therefore be a profound learning encounter where motivations can be explored and personal potentials developed within a broader picture of the total personal and professional context. It is a truly collaborative relationship where insights take root and act as the basis for change and growth.
