My Approach........
I have developed an approach to mentoring and coaching that is innovative - the Positive Insight Approach. This approach is based on the emergent and radical science of Positive Psychology and the psychological principal that personal and professional change and action follows from empathic insightinto oneself within the life context.
I will build an empathic relationship with you and then identify your key or "signature" strengths - aspects of the personality that are under-developed - and then build an Individual Action Programme (IAP) to enable you to be much more energised, focused and creative.
Key techniques are used. These include:
Empathic Enquiry. This develops a core relationship of trust and rapport, based around the client's needs and objectives. I build a clients' self-knowledge, self-awareness and self-confidence.
Signature Strengths Analysis. I use tools pioneered in Positive Psychology to identify and develop key character strengths, design an Individual Action Programme (IAP) to build creativity, optimism, resilience, well-being and positive leadership.
Emotional Intelligence Assessment. I help clients to identify their emotional competencies as they impact on your life and work (by using the EQMapTM tool) and set agreed targets for change and growth.
Insight Probing. This is the exploration of fundamental questions to enable the client to pursue a unique visiion and purpose and bring a balance to work-life issues.
